I specialize in trauma, anxiety, ADHD, faith-based, and women’s issues. Using a combination of different approaches, we will work together to give you the tools you need to lead a productive and fulfilling life. I lead several groups teaching communication and self-care, and one group specifically designed for moms with anxiety. I have found that anxiety is an isolating emotion, and one of the best and scientifically proven ways to combat this is to provide a community for like-minded individuals.

Life can look perfectly fine from the outside while feeling overwhelming on the inside. You may be constantly overthinking, emotionally exhausted, questioning yourself, or caught in patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Maybe anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, or difficult life experiences have made it harder to feel like yourself. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.
Therapy is a place where you'll be heard, understood, and challenged in ways that support meaningful growth. Together, we'll make sense of what's been keeping you stuck, discover what matters most to you, and create a path forward that feels authentic to the life you want to build. If you already know your goals, we'll work toward them. If you're not sure where to begin, we'll figure that out together. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while integrating other evidence-based approaches to meet your unique needs.
I don't believe you need to become someone else to build a better life. More often, the work is about removing the barriers that have kept you from becoming the person you've always been capable of being. Over time, many clients find they feel calmer, more confident, less controlled by anxiety or past experiences, and more trusting of themselves. They build healthier relationships, set stronger boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and purpose. My hope is that therapy becomes not just a place to process what's difficult, but a place where lasting change begins.

I believe that healing happens in a safe, compassionate space where your story is heard without judgment. As a therapist, I see you as the expert of your own experience — my role is not to ‘fix you,’ but to walk alongside you, offering tools, perspective, and encouragement as you navigate life’s challenges. I work with individuals who are moving through trauma, anxiety, major life transitions, questions of self-identity, and the impact of societal pressures. My practice is rooted in respect for each person’s unique journey, and I am proudly LGBTQIA+ affirming.
In our work together, I often draw on Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful approach that helps people process and heal from distressing memories without having to re-live every detail. I also integrate other evidence-based methods tailored to your needs, always keeping our sessions collaborative and client-centered. If you’re ready to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace, I’m here to offer a safe space where you can feel supported and truly seen.

Hi! My name is Clarissa, and I specialize in working with people who feel emotionally burnt out and are struggling to stay afloat. Life can get really overwhelming, and sometimes we need someone who will listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help us untangle everything that's been on our minds. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, past trauma, or simply feeling stuck, we'll work together to understand what you're going through and figure out what to do next.
I think that therapy works best when it's a partnership. Instead of me telling you what your life should look like, we will explore what feels right for you and go at your pace. I work with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds and offer therapy in both English and Spanish. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you've been in counseling before, you're welcome here. I hope to hear and see you for who you are.

My dedication to helping others was shaped by formative life experiences and deepened through both personal growth and professional development. A pivotal moment was my service as a medic in the military, which solidified my commitment to supporting others in times of crisis and vulnerability. Since then, I’ve held diverse roles and spent years supporting individuals facing complex life challenges, each experience deepening my understanding of human resilience and strengthening my dedication to the helping profession. I’ve supported individuals across the lifespan through trauma, grief, mental health concerns, life transitions, legal system involvement, and other impactful stressors.
My education and clinical experience have honed my therapeutic skills, broadened my perspective, and deepened my empathy—enabling me to empower others while continuing my own growth. Through this journey, I’ve aligned strongly with an Adlerian approach, emphasizing holistic, goal-oriented care, social connectedness, and the belief that every individual can realize their potential. This framework integrates evidence-based practices to promote wellness and meaningful change. As Alfred Adler noted, “Courage is the willingness to be imperfect.”
In therapy, I create a space where individuals can embrace vulnerability, develop self-awareness, and move toward growth with compassion rather than self-judgment. I believe that fostering courage and connection allows clients to recognize their strengths, engage authentically in change, and cultivate lasting well-being.

I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anger and emotional regulation, as well as substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. These are areas where I bring focused experience helping clients understand the patterns beneath the behavior and build practical tools for lasting change. Beyond these specialties, I also support clients navigating trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I take a holistic approach, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by many interconnected areas of life, including relationships, physical health, spirituality, work, family dynamics, and past experiences. Challenges rarely occur in isolation, so together we explore the whole person rather than just the symptoms, working to understand the experiences and strengths that shape your life. I offer a compassionate and collaborative space where you feel safe, respected, and understood without fear of judgment. Drawing on evidence-based methods tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals, I help you develop practical skills while also addressing the deeper experiences that contribute to emotional distress. To me, healing is about more than symptom reduction. It is about building a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and aligned with who you are. My goal is to help you strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, improve relationships, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with your authentic self so you can move forward with greater confidence, purpose, and hope
