Clients must be able to connect to the group virtually via Google Meet and know how to use their email (you will receive communication and group invites via email). Thus, clients need an internet connection that is reliable most of the time, a webcam, speakers/headset/earbuds, and a private place to meet each week. Clients must be 18 years or older.

This group will teach individuals the following skills

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): We will identify and challenge unhelpful speech patterns while strengthening communication skills to enhance emotional regulation and improve interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Mindfulness: Participants will learn grounding techniques to remain present during times of uncertainty. We will also incorporate practical coping strategies to help manage anxiety when things feel overwhelming.
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): We will examine and reframe negative thought patterns, while cultivating self-compassion and learning to extend grace to ourselves throughout the process of growth and change.
  • Psychoeducation: Participants will gain insight into the neuroscience of anxiety, building greater awareness and learning effective strategies for managing and reducing anxious responses.
