I believe everyone should have access to counseling and the opportunity to feel truly seen, heard, and supported. With experience working with children, adults, individuals living with substance use, and those impacted by social injustice, I bring a person-centered, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approach to every interaction. My lived experience deepens my empathy, while cultural humility keeps me grounded and open to continual learning. It’s a privilege to walk alongside others on their path to healing and empowerment.

I have provided therapeutic interventions as an outpatient therapist and crisis counselor for 10 years; working with people with acute mental health concerns and people with serious and persistent mental health disorders.

I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds over my career. In helping clients achieve their mental health goals, I acknowledge and support developing a strong therapeutic relationship with my client to best support my clients in developing awareness and skills needed to achieve the therapeutic goals that you set. I believe in a client-centered approach that focuses on interventions that will work best with each, individual client for the best result, based on the beliefs and values of those clients

I understand that people have situations that come up in their lives while working on goals and have, and hope to continue to, help my clients learn skills needed to help manage those problems and increase awareness of how they impact my clients' mental health. I will support you in making changes in your mental health when you are ready to begin.

One of the most profound forms of self-love is the decision we make that we are worthy of being fully heard and seen. While therapy can feel intimidating or uncomfortable, it is my priority to create a safe environment where clients can feel authentically themselves. I approach the therapeutic process as walking alongside you, as we work towards the areas you feel are most important to you. I value warmth, genuineness, empathy, learning, and our relationship as the most essential components of therapy. From my experiences working with individuals, couples, and families, I have witnessed the magic of therapy and the unwavering resilience of humans. You are deserving of living a life free of the weights you carry. If you are willing to have me on your side, I would be honored to support you.

I am a mother to three adult children, a grandmother to the sweetest girl, and the wife of an exceptionally gifted husband. As a therapist, I've faced challenges in treating people to a standard of health or healing. Every medical profession, except for mental health, has a specific standard that defines when a client is considered healthy or healed. The optometrist corrects vision to 20/20, a dentist ensures teeth are straight and free of cavities, and an orthopedic doctor restores broken bones to their proper alignment. Therapists are called to help restore, heal, and empower clients to move forward in life. Furthermore, as the wife of a retired military veteran, I have great admiration and love for the men and women who serve our great country. I am passionate about helping those who are hurting due to military deployments, separations, divorce, and anyone who simply needs a listening ear to share their story. I have survived deployments, year-long separations, single parenting, and moving from state to state and overseas. I have endured many life hardships, fought personal battles, and emerged victorious. In addition, I have worked with individuals on parole and probation, those dealing with bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, and addiction-related issues. I enjoy working with adults. I specialize in: Military Lifestyle, depression, anxiety, co-dependency, addiction, and marital infidelity. My counseling style seeks to meet the needs of those I serve. I am a faith-based counselor with experience in CBT, DBT techniques, reality-focused therapy, and EMDR training. The most daunting challenge for any client seeking help is making that first contact and walking through the door. There is victory on the other side if you are willing to take the first step in seeking it. My door is wide open and ready to help those who are weary, downtrodden, or who simply need affirmation or encouragement. My clients say I listen intently, engage passionately, and have the ability to be direct, courageous, yet kind and empathetic.

As a trauma-informed therapist specializing in PTSD, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for healing. I honor the courage it takes to step into therapy and engage in the inner work. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, and uncertain—sometimes even questioning the direction of our lives. I understand how overwhelming and isolating that can be. My approach is to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity, helping you gain clarity, reconnect with your values, and rediscover a sense of meaning in your life. With a blend of authenticity, life experience, and a sense of humor, I strive to create a welcoming and grounded environment where real change can occur. I focus on helping individuals reconnect with themselves, build emotional resilience, and find clarity and strength in who they are. I bring a culturally inclusive perspective to every session and tailor the therapeutic process to meet each client’s needs and goals. I’m honored and humbled to be part of this work, and I look forward to supporting you on your mental health journey with compassion, insight, and wholehearted care. My training and experience include a Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health, over three decades of service in education as a principal and teacher, a Master’s and Bachelor’s in special education, certification as an Emotional Freedom Coach, and certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, as well as CAMS Certified (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality). I believe therapy should feel like a safe space to land—a place where you can show up exactly as you are and feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you're navigating past trauma, current life stressors, relationship challenges, or anxiety, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. I’m a Social Work Candidate with a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, and I bring a deep respect for each person’s unique story and strengths. My approach to therapy is holistic, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing looks different for everyone. I draw from a range of therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, recreational and art-based practices, and I am currently deepening my work in somatic and expressive therapies. Most importantly, I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals, and pace. It’s not always easy to reach out for support, but I truly believe in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, authenticity, and a genuine desire to help you grow, I’d be honored to connect with you.
