Hello! I’m Rebecca, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate life’s challenges, discover hope, and create meaningful change. It would be a privilege to support you as you work toward healing and growth. I believe therapy is about creating a safe, collaborative space where you can explore your unique experiences, find new ways of coping, and work toward your goals. I love working with individuals navigating anxiety, chronic illness, life transitions, and personal struggles. I also enjoy helping couples strengthen their relationships and work through conflicts. In addition to individual and couples therapy, I offer family therapy, helping families strengthen communication, resolve conflict, and build healthier relationships. Whether you’re navigating complex family dynamics or looking to improve your connections, I’m here to help guide you through the process. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to best support your needs, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Systems Theory. I tailor these methods to your specific goals, working collaboratively to bring about positive change. If faith is an important part of your life, I’m happy to integrate faith-based practices and beliefs into our work, upon request. Originally from Louisiana, I moved to Colorado in 2022. I love spending time with my husband, our dog, and cat. I enjoy crocheting, camping, paddleboarding, and drinking coffee and playing board games with friends.

I strongly admire all that social work represents, from relationship building and self-determination to skill strengthening and empowerment, as well as cultivating agency and self-advocacy among individuals and communities, and highlighting the importance of putting systems theory into practice. I apply this concept and consider the biological, psychological, and social-environmental influences on clients and the community. I also recognize and apply the framework of intersectionality as it relates to my clients. Emphasizing a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist lens while engaging in therapy. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Colorado Mesa University in 2019. I then graduated from Colorado State University with a master's degree in social work in 2021. I am currently working towards obtaining my Doctorate in social work from Capella University. During my down time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. listening to podcasts, reading books, cooking delicious foods, shopping, and staying active

As a therapist, I believe that healing begins in relationships - especially the one you have with yourself. I offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where you can explore your inner world, reconnect with your authentic self, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach integrates person-centered therapy, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and relational psychodynamic work. I specialize in working with people navigating anxiety, attachment wounds, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, high sensitivity, and neurodivergence. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that once helped them survive but are no longer serving them. Together, we explore those patterns with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. Clients often describe me as calming, present, and easy to talk to. At the same time, I am an active therapist: I don’t sit back silently, but instead engage thoughtfully, ask meaningful questions, and offer gentle guidance when needed. I see therapy as a shared journey, one where my role is to provide both a safe haven and a catalyst for meaningful change. Growth often involves discomfort, and I aim to support you in stretching just enough to foster that change, without overwhelming your system. Ultimately, I want therapy with me to feel like a place where you can bring your full self, messy, uncertain, hopeful, tender, and be met with care, insight, and genuine connection. In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about research and am currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on culture shock, reverse culture shock, fluctuations in self-concept, and belonging.

My ideal client is ready to explore the depths of their emotions, even if it feels intimidating or uncertain. You don't have to have it all figured out. Whether you're moving at your own pace or taking things step by step, I'm here to walk alongside you. I believe that true courage isn't the absence of fear; it's acknowledging all those tough feelings like anxiety, insecurity, and doubt, and still moving forward with them. Together, we'll embrace the complexities and find beauty in the journey. I strive to create a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere, and I like to use humor when it feels right. Therapy with me isn't about being scrutinized or treated like a project; this is about two people working together to build a safe and supportive environment. We'll approach your healing as a partnership, and I'll be here to help you go as deep as you feel ready to. It's about both of us showing up with openness and courage to do the work that truly matters to you.

I am a mother to three adult children, a grandmother to the sweetest girl, and the wife of an exceptionally gifted husband. As a therapist, I've faced challenges in treating people to a standard of health or healing. Every medical profession, except for mental health, has a specific standard that defines when a client is considered healthy or healed. The optometrist corrects vision to 20/20, a dentist ensures teeth are straight and free of cavities, and an orthopedic doctor restores broken bones to their proper alignment. Therapists are called to help restore, heal, and empower clients to move forward in life. Furthermore, as the wife of a retired military veteran, I have great admiration and love for the men and women who serve our great country. I am passionate about helping those who are hurting due to military deployments, separations, divorce, and anyone who simply needs a listening ear to share their story. I have survived deployments, year-long separations, single parenting, and moving from state to state and overseas. I have endured many life hardships, fought personal battles, and emerged victorious. In addition, I have worked with individuals on parole and probation, those dealing with bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, schizophrenia, and addiction-related issues. I enjoy working with adults. I specialize in: Military Lifestyle, depression, anxiety, co-dependency, addiction, and marital infidelity. My counseling style seeks to meet the needs of those I serve. I am a faith-based counselor with experience in CBT, DBT techniques, reality-focused therapy, and EMDR training. The most daunting challenge for any client seeking help is making that first contact and walking through the door. There is victory on the other side if you are willing to take the first step in seeking it. My door is wide open and ready to help those who are weary, downtrodden, or who simply need affirmation or encouragement. My clients say I listen intently, engage passionately, and have the ability to be direct, courageous, yet kind and empathetic.
