I moved from Arizona nine years ago to Colorado. I love all the adventure Colorado provides. Most of all, I love the cool summer nights and building a snowman in the winter. While here in Colorado, I have been attending school and have received two degrees in Applied Behavioral Psychology and one Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Therapy is a collaborative journey. As we work together, I believe symptoms can be reduced. I am a trauma-informed counselor who practices from an integrated systems perspective, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, non-directive approaches, indirect play therapy, and motivational interviewing. My therapeutic approach encompasses relational counseling with a focus on person-centered therapy. I also incorporate a strength-based and solution-focused approach. I also utilize modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Furthermore, I offer unconditional positive regard to all of my clients as we journey together in the counseling relationship.

I strongly admire all that social work represents, from relationship building and self-determination to skill strengthening and empowerment, as well as cultivating agency and self-advocacy among individuals and communities, and highlighting the importance of putting systems theory into practice. I apply this concept and consider the biological, psychological, and social-environmental influences on clients and the community. I also recognize and apply the framework of intersectionality as it relates to my clients. Emphasizing a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist lens while engaging in therapy. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Colorado Mesa University in 2019. I then graduated from Colorado State University with a master's degree in social work in 2021. I am currently working towards obtaining my Doctorate in social work from Capella University. During my down time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. listening to podcasts, reading books, cooking delicious foods, shopping, and staying active

My ideal client is ready to explore the depths of their emotions, even if it feels intimidating or uncertain. You don't have to have it all figured out. Whether you're moving at your own pace or taking things step by step, I'm here to walk alongside you. I believe that true courage isn't the absence of fear; it's acknowledging all those tough feelings like anxiety, insecurity, and doubt, and still moving forward with them. Together, we'll embrace the complexities and find beauty in the journey. I strive to create a relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere, and I like to use humor when it feels right. Therapy with me isn't about being scrutinized or treated like a project; this is about two people working together to build a safe and supportive environment. We'll approach your healing as a partnership, and I'll be here to help you go as deep as you feel ready to. It's about both of us showing up with openness and courage to do the work that truly matters to you.

Hi and welcome to your journey toward a better, more authentic you. I am a clinical mental health counselor who strives to support you in achieving your goals. I hope to walk this journey with you, providing a safe space for you to be vulnerable and discover your inner strength and beauty. I am passionate about helping adolescents with eating disorders. With my background working with this population and understanding the personal effects this illness can have, I aim to empower you on your road to recovery and instill the belief that recovery is not only possible but also worth it! I received my bachelor’s in Psychology and Biohealth Sciences from Oregon State University in 2017 and my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 from Adams State University. I completed my practicum in crisis services and my internship in an intensive outpatient program for children and adolescents. I have experience in community mental health, including crisis services, addiction, school-based counseling, and outpatient behavioral health services, as well as in an intensive outpatient program for adolescents with eating disorders. In these various roles, I have worked with clients experiencing the effects of ADHD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and behavioral disorders. The therapeutic approaches I use include Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy. My hope is to provide my clients with skills, identify their strengths, and eliminate barriers to assist them in moving toward healing and gaining autonomy. I was born in Oregon and raised in Montana. I moved to Colorado with my husband in 2019, where we are now raising our children. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, watching professional sports, coaching soccer, reading, and playing with my children (both two-legged and four-legged).

Healing from the painful life experiences that impact us all is a process that should not be undertaken in isolation. I would be honored to journey alongside you as you navigate this difficult season of life. As a relational therapist, I believe that our stories begin and end in the community. We cannot understand your current life space without considering the family, society, and culture that have shaped your world. I am an emotionally focused, trained therapist who utilizes a systemic, attachment-based, and culturally conscious approach to therapy. I believe that therapy works best when everyone can be authentically themselves. That's why I strive to create a safe environment where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment. I also value humor in therapy when appropriate because laughter can be another piece of that healing. I look forward to the work we will do together!

I believe trust and authenticity are what create a strong foundation in the therapeutic relationship. Everyone has a different perspective on the world. We all have hurts and experiences that make us feel like we need to do more or be more to feel worthy of a good life. No matter your hurts and experiences, I will meet you where you are with honesty and genuine curiosity about your worldview. I will walk with you through the hurdles of life. What therapy with me is like: I am an LGBTQ+ affirming clinician and use an integrative counseling approach, drawing from multiple modalities and theories. I most often draw from person-centered and reality therapy perspectives. I challenge my clients by offering multiple points of view while ensuring they feel they have the autonomy to take with them what works and leave the rest. I often assign homework between sessions so that growth can occur in and out of the therapy space. I welcome and encourage my clients to give me feedback about what is and isn’t working for them. While I have undergone extensive training to be an effective therapist, my clients are the experts of their own lives, and I strongly encourage them to use their instinctual sense of whether something is working or not. I also believe therapy is a great space to practice new ways of communicating and existing in the world—unsure how to have adaptive confrontation? I will support you in confronting me in sessions to practice a new skill. I work with my clients to feel their emotions and not just think about them. I incorporate artistic and somatic practices to improve one's ability to sit with, feel, and release emotions that weigh them down. Imperfection is required for a joyful life - KC Davis.

The hardest part of the therapeutic process is reaching the door of the therapist. I believe that the work begins at that moment. The relationship you develop with your therapist is essential to feel and know you are "heard." Holding space for people and finding a way to the light of healing is crucial. Change occurs when a person is willing to bring the issue or issues into the light. As a therapist, my goal is to assist you in finding deeper meaning and healing. My position is to help you through the process. I look forward to helping you along the journey of healing.
