My passion for helping others was seeded at an early age and has developed with time and experience. Since my service as a medic in the military and throughout various roles over the years in the behavioral health field, my passion has evolved into a calling and has granted me the opportunity to help others all across the lifespan who experience difficult and complex challenges, such as mental health, criminal justice involvement, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment issues, among other life stressors and challenges. My education and experience have sharpened my skills, broadened my understanding, and enhanced my sense of empathy which helped enrich my personal and professional development as a counselor. Through this development, I gravitated to an Adlerian theoretical orientation which centers on goal-oriented and holistic approaches that foster social connectedness and personal growth to help maximize one's ability to find and experience their true potential. This orientation supports evidence-based strategies that strengthen harm reduction and wellness models to improve quality of life. As eloquently stated by Berne Brown: "Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path."

I believe therapy should feel like a safe space to land—a place where you can show up exactly as you are and feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you're navigating past trauma, current life stressors, relationship challenges, or anxiety, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. I’m a Social Work Candidate with a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, and I bring a deep respect for each person’s unique story and strengths. My approach to therapy is holistic, client-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing looks different for everyone. I draw from a range of therapeutic methods—including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, recreational and art-based practices—and I am currently deepening my work in somatic and expressive therapies. Most importantly, I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals, and pace. It’s not always easy to reach out for support, but I truly believe in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, authenticity, and a genuine desire to help you grow, I’d be honored to connect with you.

As a therapist, I bring authenticity and humor into our time together. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself and opening up to work on your goals. I will strive to name and provide the words that empower you to speak about your experiences and help reduce any shame, guilt, or stigma you may be carrying. Although those emotions are a heavy burden to carry alone, I look forward to sharing the weight and helping you feel more confident and in control moving forward. Therapy is about you, and you are the expert on yourself; I am a guide to help you explore in a validating and supportive space. I utilize person-centered therapy, which focuses on unconditional positive regard. As humans, we make mistakes, and I am here to help you recognize what other factors contributed to your behavior to enable the change you desire. When I am not providing therapy, you can catch me out hiking, going to cultural events, and learning to play the ukulele. I am originally from Alaska but fell in love with the Colorado sunshine and am content to see the mountains a little bit further away. I’m a happy plant mom of 20, and yes, they are all flourishing.

Once upon a time, a military medic took a moment to listen to the story of a soldier who was suffering somatically from the sheer amount of distress they felt. That medic found her "Ah-ha" and pursued further education within the mental health field with unmatched passion. Your healing is something I aspire to work together with you to achieve. My areas of expertise include working with populations such as children, teens, and parents. I am capable of addressing difficult and complex traumas by utilizing a trauma-informed approach. I strive for every patient encounter to leave you feeling appreciated as a human being and heard. I follow a person-centered approach while integrating other modalities as needed, including play therapy techniques.
