I have provided therapeutic interventions as an outpatient therapist and crisis counselor for 10 years; working with people with acute mental health concerns and people with serious and persistent mental health disorders.
I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds over my career. In helping clients achieve their mental health goals, I acknowledge and support developing a strong therapeutic relationship with my client to best support my clients in developing awareness and skills needed to achieve the therapeutic goals that you set. I believe in a client-centered approach that focuses on interventions that will work best with each, individual client for the best result, based on the beliefs and values of those clients
I understand that people have situations that come up in their lives while working on goals and have, and hope to continue to, help my clients learn skills needed to help manage those problems and increase awareness of how they impact my clients' mental health. I am passionate about supporting clients healing from trauma, dealing with ADHD, and dealing with anxiety. I use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you unhook from difficult, tangled thoughts and feelings and to live according to your values. I also use EMDR to support clients healing from trauma. Together, we will collaborate to figure out what has you feeling stuck and what actions you can take to move toward a full, meaningful life.
