I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with prior experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health settings. With a variety of experience, my passion is providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients as they grow. Together, we will take both a collaborative and holistic approach, building a 'helping' relationship based on compassion, empathy, and trust; empowering you to reignite the best version of yourself. I enjoy incorporating aspects of DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and art therapy, along with strategies that consist of a strengths-based and person-centered approach.

 Miranda Puente LSW

Hi, I’m Miranda Puente, LSW, a licensed social worker based in Pueblo, Colorado. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy services. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I’ve worked extensively with individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health challenges, including schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, major depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood-related concerns.

I use a client-centered and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused techniques, always tailoring my approach to fit each person’s unique needs and life experiences.

I truly love helping people on their journey toward healing and growth. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe therapy works best when it feels genuine and human, and I’m committed to walking alongside you as you build coping skills, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.

As an emerging therapist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate grief, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. With experience working with adults, adolescents, and children, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique journey. My approach is rooted in understanding, empathy, and a belief in the resilience of the human spirit. As a proud Latina woman, my decision to pursue therapy was inspired by my own life experiences and the encouragement I received from students I had the privilege of working with. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where people can feel empowered to explore their emotions, heal, and ultimately embrace their true selves. My mission is to guide clients toward self-discovery and help them reclaim their inner strength to navigate life’s challenges.

I love helping individuals unravel their stories, take a closer look, and rewrite narratives that feel true to them. Each person’s journey is unique, and I find it incredibly rewarding to support clients as they navigate their personal challenges and uncover their own strengths. I do this by creating a warm, non-judgmental space where they can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. Together, we work to gain meaningful insights, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies tailored to their goals for personal growth and well-being. Whether it’s working through anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, or embarking on a path of personal development, my approach is collaborative and compassionate. I am deeply committed to guiding clients toward healing, resilience, and positive change, empowering them to feel more confident and aligned in their lives.

People come to therapy for different reasons, but I believe they all want to be seen, heard, and not judged for how they feel or think. I am dedicated to providing my clients the freedom to be themselves and guiding them in discovering who they aspire to be. I equip my clients with the necessary skills and empower them to choose and explore what works best for their personal lives and personalities, and ultimately help them to achieve their distinct goals. I have experience with adults who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I apply a mixture of person-centered, psychoeducation, CBT, strength-based, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. My duty as a therapist is to help increase my clients' self-awareness, create healthier patterns, and gain healthy coping skills that they can utilize daily. I also use humor in sessions because laughing is also therapeutic! As someone familiar with experiences of abuse, homelessness, depression, and anxiety, I believe that anyone's difficult past can help them discover a better version of themselves for a higher purpose. Things happen for a reason, and people have the power to choose how their life experiences shape their lives moving forward. It will be an honor to walk with you.
