I believe trust and authenticity are what create a strong foundation in the therapeutic relationship. Everyone has a different perspective on the world. We all have hurts and experiences that make us feel like we need to do more or be more to feel worthy of a good life. No matter your hurts and experiences, I will meet you where you are with honesty and genuine curiosity about your worldview. I will walk with you through the hurdles of life. What therapy with me is like: I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and use an integrative counseling approach, drawing from multiple modalities and theories. I most often draw from person-centered and reality therapy perspectives. I challenge my clients by offering multiple points of view while ensuring they feel they have the autonomy to take with them what works and leave the rest. I welcome and encourage my clients to give me feedback about what is and isn’t working for them. While I have undergone extensive training to be an effective therapist, my clients are the experts of their own lives, and I strongly encourage them to use their instinctual sense of whether something is working or not. I also believe therapy is a great space to practice new ways of communicating and existing in the world—unsure how to have adaptive confrontation? I will support you in confronting me in sessions to practice a new skill. I work with my clients to feel their emotions and not just think about them. I incorporate artistic and somatic practices to improve one's ability to sit with, feel, and release emotions that weigh them down.

Hi there! I believe therapy works best when it feels real, human, and collaborative. I show up as my authentic self and invite my clients to do the same, creating a space where both positive and difficult experiences can be openly explored and held with care. My approach is person-centered and existential, meaning I focus on who you are, what gives your life meaning, and how your values shape the choices you want to make. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and strength-based interventions to help you build awareness, resilience, and confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges. Above all, I strive to meet you where you are, offering empathy, curiosity, and support while working together to shape therapy into something that feels intentional and aligned with your needs.

Therapy rooted in hope and healing. I practice Person-Centered Counseling integrated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and growth. Person-Centered Counseling provides a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and understood, while CBT helps identify and reshape negative thought patterns that may be holding you back. My approach is grounded in the belief that no one should have to walk through life's challenges alone, and I am here to provide the tools, guidance, and support you need to navigate life's difficulties and move forward with confidence and hope. Together, we’ll work toward creating a life that feels more fulfilling and balanced.

As a counselor, my goal is to aid you in reclaiming your inner strength and resilience, empowering you to heal from past wounds, overcome obstacles, and navigate the challenges that life may bring. I am here to guide and support you as you work through difficult emotions and experiences, helping you to uncover hidden strengths and develop new coping strategies. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can openly explore your emotions, identify patterns or behaviors that no longer serve you, and set meaningful goals for personal growth. Together, we will work to uncover a deeper, more meaningful sense of self—grounded in self-discovery, authenticity, and a greater understanding of your unique journey. Whether you are looking to process past trauma, strengthen relationships, or gain clarity about your direction in life, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, ADHD, faith-based, and women’s issues. Using a combination of different approaches, we will work together to give you the tools you need to lead a productive and fulfilling life. I lead several groups teaching communication and self-care, and one group specifically designed for moms with anxiety. I have found that anxiety is an isolating emotion, and one of the best and scientifically proven ways to combat this is to provide a community for like-minded individuals.

Summary
Across hundreds of client reviews, one theme comes through again and again: people feel truly heard here. Clients describe finally finding a therapist who understood them, gaining real tools for anxiety, trauma, and anger management, and walking away from sessions feeling lighter and more hopeful. Many say Overcomers was the first place therapy actually felt like the right fit — a space to be met with warmth, patience, and genuine care on the path to becoming who they're meant to be.
