Hello! I want my clients to feel empowered by their mental health journey to learn how to love themselves and those around them. I would be honored to walk alongside you! My approach to therapy is "Parts Work" (Gestalt and Internal Family Systems), meaning that I believe we have various parts of ourselves that make up the whole of who we are. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify these parts that may be holding you back from reaching your goals. We will step into a new awareness together and empower you to make the changes you desire. I have experience working with individuals from all walks of life and specialize in multiple mental health conditions. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other mental health concern, I am here to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. As a retired collegiate athlete, I also enjoy serving other athletes struggling with anxiety, trauma, and performance. One thing that sets me apart as a therapist is my honest and authentic nature. I truly care about every one of my clients and am committed to helping them grow and thrive. I am ready to join you in your self-discovery and healing journey!

Therapy rooted in hope and healing. I practice Person-Centered Counseling integrated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and growth. Person-Centered Counseling provides a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and understood, while CBT helps identify and reshape negative thought patterns that may be holding you back. My approach is grounded in the belief that no one should have to walk through life's challenges alone, and I am here to provide the tools, guidance, and support you need to navigate life's difficulties and move forward with confidence and hope. Together, we’ll work toward creating a life that feels more fulfilling and balanced.

I am an LPCC in Colorado, providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. My work is grounded in compassion, steadiness, and a belief in the strong connection between the body, brain, and emotional wellbeing. I approach therapy in a way that feels calm, supportive, and practical, helping clients feel safe enough to slow down and make sense of what they’re experiencing. Before entering clinical counseling, I worked in community children and family agencies, with a focus on attachment-related concerns, family systems, and early relational stress.

I work with: Children who need help expressing emotions and building regulation skills Adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, school stress, and family conflict Adults facing overwhelm, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions Families and parents seeking stronger connection and communication with their children.
My style is warm, steady, and collaborative, with attention to both insight and practical change.

While therapy can feel intimidating or uncomfortable, it is my priority to create a safe environment where clients can feel authentically themselves. I approach the therapeutic process as walking alongside you as we work toward the areas you feel are most important to you. I value warmth, genuineness, empathy, learning, and our relationship as the most essential components of therapy. From my experiences working with adults, I have witnessed the capabilities of therapy and the unwavering resilience of humans. You deserve to live a life free of the weights you carry. If you are willing to have me by your side, I would be honored to support you.

In-Network Counseling Services

Accepting Medicaid & Insurance to Make Therapy Accessible for All

Most major insurance plans are accepted here, so cost isn't what's standing between you and feeling better — and we'll handle the paperwork.

How it works
1
Find the right provider
Find the right therapist for you on our directory — filter by service, specialty, approach, or location to see who fits what you're looking for. Every provider in our directory accepts the same insurance, practice-wide, so cost doesn't have to be a separate hurdle.
2
Complete our intake packet
Found a time that works? Click Book, then complete our Intake Packet. From there, we'll take care of gathering your insurance details and verifying your benefits — so it's one less thing to think about before your first appointment.
3
Attend your session
Attend your session online or in-person, whichever you booked. Your Client Portal keeps everything else in one place — appointments, your Good Faith Estimate (GFE), and messages with your provider.

Why clients choose us for therapy

Our counselors are trained to help you work through what's hard — not just talk about it. When you're ready, we're ready.

Summary
Across hundreds of client reviews, one theme comes through again and again: people feel truly heard here. Clients describe finally finding a therapist who understood them, gaining real tools for anxiety, trauma, and anger management, and walking away from sessions feeling lighter and more hopeful. Many say Overcomers was the first place therapy actually felt like the right fit — a space to be met with warmth, patience, and genuine care on the path to becoming who they're meant to be.

Miranda Puente, LSW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I feel like she listens to everything I have to say in a non-judgemental way. She remains nuetral and provide valid information as necessary and doesnt feed into my delusions, yet help me escape them step by step. When we are speaking i feel she is very attentive and engage in the conversation(s) at hand. I enjoy how relatable she can be on difficult topics. All I have to say about Miranda is GOAT.

I can just say the confidence I have today I didn't have before I met Jennifer. She taught me amazing tools for me to be the best mother I have ever been. Trauma is a thing that takes time to heal but I have this.
