Parenting is not an easy task and for those practicing the Christian faith, the responsibilities are greater. For parents, it is not only important to raise their children right but more important to raise their children in the love and fear of the Lord.

Often, the challenges can be overwhelming but the Bible provides endless advice, comfort, and support to parents and children both, for making it a joyful and emotionally rich journey.

There is no better feeling than being children of God and just consider what solace, what guidance, and what unconditional strength and love He arms us within every aspect of life.

From parenting to guardianship, the Bible lays down the clear vision of God.

If you've come seeking divine guidance, wisdom, and understanding for your parenting journey, you can find it here from 20 Bible verses.

Isaiah 54:13

The Lord shall teach all your children, and great shall be the peace of your offspring.

Ephesians 6:4

Fathers, do not provoke anger in your children, but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of your Lord.

Proverbs 22:6

Train your child in the way that he should go so that when he grows, he shall not depart from it.

Proverbs 1:8-9

Hear my child, your Father's instruction, and do not forsake your mother's teaching. For what their words are a peaceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.

Joshua 4:20-24

Joshua set up those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan and set them up at Gilgal. Then he said to the people of Israel, "When your children will ask their fathers in the coming times, "What is the meaning of these stones?" then let your children know: Israel passed over dry ground on this Jordan". The Lord your God had dried the waters of this Jordan till you could pass over, just as the Lord your God had done to the Red Sea. He dried those up for us until we passed through, so that all the people of the Earth may know and proclaim that the hand of the Lord God is mighty, and that may each fear the Lord their God forever".

Mathew 19:14

Jesus said to them, "Let the little ones come to me, for the Kingdom of God belongs to them. Do not hinder them for theirs is the Kingdom of God".

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you Isaiah 66:13 Bible verse

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

And let these words that I command you today be on your heart forever. You shall teach these words diligently to your children, and shall speak of them when you sit together in your house, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie in peace and when you rise. Bind these words as signs on your hands and let them be as frontlets between your eyes. You must write these words on the doorposts of your dwelling place and on your gates".

Proverbs 17:6

Children's children are a crown for the aged and parents are the pride of their offspring.

Proverbs 29:17

Discipline your son so that he may give you rest; when the time comes he shall give delight to your heart.

3 John 1:4

There is no greater joy for me than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Proverbs 23:13

Do not withhold from disciplining your child: he will not die if you strike him with a rod.

Deuteronomy 5:29

Oh, that their hearts would be driven to fear me and obey my commands forever, so that it may be well with them their children and children's children forever!"

Hebrew 12:7-11

You must endure for the sake of discipline. God treats you as his sons. For which son lives whom his father does not discipline? If you do not receive discipline, in which others have partaken, then you are among the illegitimate children and not sons. Before you, we have seen earthly fathers who disciplined all and we all respected them. How then can we not be more subjected to the Father of spirits and live?

For they may have disciplined us for but awhile, as was best for them, but He disciplines us for good, that we may be partakers of His holiness. For the time being all discipline will seem painful instead of pleasant, but later it will yield the peaceful fruits of righteousness for those who lived and grew under its training".

Jeremiah 1:5

I knew you before I formed you in the womb, and I have consecrated you even before you were born: I have appointed you as a prophet to nations.

Psalm 103:13

As a Father pities his children, so the Lord pities them who fear Him.

Psalm 139:13-14

For you formed my inmost being; you wove me together in my mother's womb; I give praise to your name for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I know that full well!

1 Timothy 5:8

For if a man does not provide for his relatives, or for the inhabitants of his household, he denies his faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Philippians 1:6

I am confident of this that God, who began a good work in you, will see it through until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.

Psalm 127:3-5

Behold, children are God's heritage and they are the fruits of a womb, a reward. Like arrows in a warrior's hand, are the children of one's youth. Blessed is ho who fills his quiver with them. He will suffer no shame when he confronts his enemies at the gate.

2 Corinthians 12:14

I am here, ready to come to your for the third time. And I shall not be a burden for what I seek not what belongs to you but you. For children bear no obligation to save up for their parents, but rather parents for their children.
