Part Time to Full Time Transition

W2 Counselors wishing to transition to full-time can receive many bonuses and benefits.  Review this policy to learn more.

What is Full-Time?

Full-time status for counselors means they are 'maintaining' 100+ hours accumulated across two pay periods, which equates to ~4 weeks or 1 month.

Perks of Full-Time Status

Some of the perks of full-time include:

Eligibility to Transition from PT to FT

To be eligible to transition from part-time to full-time, the counselor must demonstrate the following:

  1. The counselor's TN calendar must show at least 125 slots for the month (~32 per week).  An easy way to count your available hours is to go to Staff >> Your Name >> Work Schedule and look at the number of hours produced from your current work schedule.  125 slots will produce ~100 hours, assuming the company-wide show rate of 85%.
  2. In the current month, the counselor must be on target to hit ~90 appointments (intakes + sessions).  Learn how to view your Note Count Report in TN.
  3. If we are at the beginning of the current month and it's too early to project the month's appointment count, the counselor will also enter the prior month's appointment count.  This will help determine eligibility.

If the counselor is eligible to transition from PT to FT based on the criteria above, please visit the new EHR -- Staff >> Your Name >> Profile Tab and submit the Transition to FT form.

Maintaining Full-time Status

Counselors who fail to maintain the 100+ hour threshold will undergo a 90-day review.  We acknowledge that life circumstances (e.g., illness, family emergencies) can prohibit the 100+ hour commitment. The employee will be contacted before the review to confirm their intention to continue benefits, re-establish full-time counselor status, or discontinue benefits.

Counselor Hardships

Should a counselor encounter a hardship (e.g., loss of spousal insurance coverage, inability to maintain 100 hours due to family care responsibilities), the counselor must contact HR@overcomewithus.com to explain the situation. This life event will be submitted to leadership for approval. A counselor would eventually need to qualify for full-time employment (i.e, 100+ hours) to keep insurance benefits.  Usually, a 90-day grace period is provided during the counselor's hardship.
