Each office has a Chromebook for the scheduled clinician to use at their convenience. Â Chromebooks are used because they make adhering to HIPAA compliance much easier. After all, there is no hard drive that stores PHI.
Problem
My Chromebook randomly stopped working yesterday. The screen went black and I have not been able to get it back on since. I tried to hold down the power button for a few seconds, but that didn't help. The light is still on when it is plugged in, but otherwise, it is unresponsive.
Solution
Do a hard restart. If your device turns on but the screen stays black, hold down the Refresh key + Power to restart your Chromebook. A hard restart will clear your Chromebookâs RAM and any caches that could be preventing the OS from booting.
