How to Handle Sessions on a Holiday

Clinicians are responsible for managing their schedules, including upcoming appointments and calendar adjustments. This includes canceling or rescheduling sessions that fall on holidays if they choose not to work on those days. Keep in mind that clinicians have the flexibility to set their own schedules, allowing them to work on holidays, weekends, or any other day that suits them.

Cancel session if not working

If you’re not planning to work during the holiday, make sure to cancel your sessions before the automated TN automated appointment reminders are sent out. Additionally, notify your clients in advance—ideally during your previous session—to avoid any confusion.

Cancel new client requests if not working

If you're requesting new clients and your chosen timeslot falls on a holiday, be sure to remove that timeslot if you decide not to work and accept a new intake. Then add a new timeslot starting the week after the holiday.
