Holiday Pay Policy

At Overcomers, we are committed to supporting our team, which is why we offer holiday pay for eligible employees. Please review the details to determine your eligibility.

Eligibility

  • Full time, W2 employees

Counselor's Eligibility

Carefully review the following details to identify which counselors are eligible for holiday pay.

  • Counselors must be W2 Full Time.  
  • The holiday must be on a day that the counselor works.  For example, there's no reimbursement if the holiday falls on a Monday and you don’t typically work on Mondays.  
  • The “recognized” holiday date does not apply.  For example, if the New Year falls on a Sunday and the recognized holiday is Monday (the next day), then there’s no reimbursement for Monday.  If you usually work on Sunday, there will be reimbursements for that day.
  • The counselor is paid their regular hourly rate for the number of sessions canceled, up to a maximum of 5 hours.  
    • For example, if all the above are true and the counselor cancels 10 appointments on the holiday, the counselor can request up to 5 hours.  
    • Another example, if all the above is true, and the counselor cancels three appointments on the holiday, the counselor can request a maximum of 3 hours.  
  • All appointments must show as canceled with a cancellation note in TN (do not delete appointments).

How to make a request

Counselors must submit holiday pay requests through Paylocity within the pay period in which the holiday occurs.  If a request is not made within the designated pay period, holiday pay cannot be issued.  Please note that we are unable to process backdated holiday pay. Note: Because Holiday Pay is not accrued, as with other PTO policies, the balance shown in Paylocity may be negative.  This is normal.

Paid Holidays

If eligible, these are the only recognized holidays for which pay is available.

  • Christmas
  • New Years
  • Thanksgiving
  • 4th of July
  • Memorial Day
  • Labor Day

Support Team Holiday Pay

Paid holidays are available if you are a full-time support agent by default.  You can view the holiday paid hours on your Time Sheet in Paylocity.
