How to Set Up a Group Supervision Session

If you plan to hold a group supervision session, follow the steps and requirements below.

Group Supervision Requirements

  • No dual format: A supervisee may not receive both individual and group supervision in the same week.
  • Session length: Must be exactly 2 hours (120 minutes) — no more, no less.
  • Supervisee cost:
    • Earns 2 supervision hours
    • Fee $20/hour (non full-time)
    • This is half the cost of individual supervision.
  • Supervisor pay:
    • Earns $80 per attendee
    • Revenue is per supervisee, not per hour.

How to Create a Group Supervision Session

  1. Create a new appointment.
  2. Select Appointment Type: Group Therapy.
  3. Add all supervisees attending.
  4. Select Service Code: SUPERVISION.
  5. Confirm the session duration is 120 minutes.

Required Documentation

Before the Session

  • Send each supervisee the “Group Clinical Supervision Agreement” via the Client Portal.
  • The agreement is located in the TN Library.

After the Session

  1. TN will require a Treatment Plan.
    • You may enter “N/A” in all required fields.
  2. After saving the Treatment Plan, complete a Group Consultation Note for each supervisee.
